Bridging course

This Praxis Bridging course has been designed to help candidates understand the Praxis Project and Programme Processes and how to apply and tailor the Praxis Management (P3M) functions and the interpersonal skills required of a P3 manager to the complexity of a given scenario. The course also highlights the similarities and differences between Praxis and PRINCE2®, MSP® and APM BoK. The content of the Praxis Bridging course is derived from the website, which is available free to the candidates.

Target Group

This training course is designed for:

  • project and/or programme managers
  • project/programme team members
  • board members
  • directors involved in project boards, programme boards and steering committees.

Candidates must hold one of the following:

  • PRINCE2® Foundation or Practitioner Certificate
  • MSP® Foundation, Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner Certificate
  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) Certificate
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) Certificate
  • PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner Certificate
  • IPMA Level D (or equivalent).

Note: Before the training participants receive a pre-course pack comprising of joining instructions and directions to access the Praxis website.

Style of the Course

It is intended that the course style should be very ‘participative’ and, as a result, candidates should be encouraged to contribute their own experiences throughout the course.  This will require a much more ‘facilitative’ style of teaching from the course tutor. Case study scenarios should be used throughout the course, together with your own and candidates’ practical experience, to illustrate the course materials and provide ‘practical’ examples – it is important that you can compare and contrast the application of the approach to different environments.

3 days

The exam is usually held at the end of day 3.

Good luck with the course!
