Course description

The training is a workshop, where everybody practices drawing under the trainer supervision.

Participants receive equipment and drawing materials, with the help of which they create their own database of symbols, icons, letters and characters. They practice selected fonts and try different ways of presenting information.

The workshop ends with a llarge-format work' preparation - everyone creates their drawing on a flipchart.



Pre-requisites

No skills or knowledge are required. What is necessary, however, is the right attitude: openness and willingness to experiment.

You can come with your theme (presentation), which you are looking for a way of creative presentation.

  • Why to draw? - a few words about benefits of drawing (sketchnoting, presentations, group work, problem solving, communication, inspiration)
  • Drawing tools - testing various types of markers
  • Warm up drawing
  • How to take care of readability - different typefaces for different occasions
  • Words of great importance - how to write them
  • Break
  • Highlight the most important items - frames, banners, boxes
  • Show your way of thinking - arrows and other connectors
  • Various types of calculations and bullets
  • Faster than writing - basic symbols
  • You can also draw characters - UVO people
  • Movement and emotions - bikablo® characters
  • Use what you learned to strengthen the message.

  • Different formats for different occasions - templates and diagrams

  • Composing cartoon presentations - the goal is the most important

Equipment

Each participant receives paper sheets and drawing utensils and two professional markers to take out.

All your sketches produced during the workshop are yours. Photographic documentation of drawings from the workshops will be available to the participants for further inspiration.


The trainer

The workshop is run by Jolanta Łabędzka-Benisz - simulation games and workshops creator, trainer, facilitator, enthusiast of agile and interactive methods of teaching. Visual thinking accompanies her every day in effective communication with training participants. Privately a motorcyclist and a photographer.
