Course description

We combined methodology of project management and business analysis elements in one training. During this training, participants receive a set of information related to effective and efficient agile project management and working within the project team, with particular consideration of requirements elicitation from business participants of the projects.

During the AgilePM / AgileBA Foundation course, participants will learn the basics including philosophy, principles, roles and responsibilities, processes and products of agile management in a corporate environment. This set is complemented by knowledge and techniques concerning the business case modeling and conducting facilitated workshops - all in the Agile “scent”.

Completion of this training entitles you to take two certification exams:

  • AgilePM Foundation
  • AgileBA Foundation

In the case of a positive result participant receives two international certificates: AgilePM Foundation and AgileBA Foundation.


Training objectives

  • Learning AgilePM Method at a sufficient level to work in a project carried out in accordance to this method
  • Knowing business analysis related techniques (AgileBA) for implementing in agile projects
  • After the Training each Participant:
    • can compare AgilePM method with other agile methodologies
    • knows the philosophy, principles, roles and responsibilities, process, products, and techniques of AgilePM method
    • knows how to explain their use and implementation in the project
    • can build a business case for the Agile project
    • knows the techniques of acquisition and approval of requirements for the project, for example by modelling
    • has the inspiration and the basis to further develop themselves and their knowledge in this field
  • AgilePM Foundation Exam preparation concerning the knowledge of philosophy, principles, roles and responsibilities, processes, products, and techniques
  • AgileBA Foundation Exam preparation concerning the characteristic techniques of business analysis in the agile project.


Target group

AgilePM Methodology complemented by the attitude and AgileBA techniques due to its "strong" approach, which is agility combined with the regime of design, is especially useful for people working in large organizations and corporations, including both the business and technical devisions. Also useful wherever technology, requirements and environment change very quickly, preventing the effective implementation of projects in the traditional way. It will also enable effective collecting the requirements of the project, minimizing the risk of misunderstandings and misguided solutions.

Pre-requisites

General knowledge of the characteristics of the project work. Experience from cascade project methodologies may also be useful - this will help participants see and understand the differences in the approach to the project.

Remarks

Certification - you will have the opportunity to approach AgilePM Foundation Exam or AgileBA Foundation Exam. Or both of them! Examinations are usually organized on the last day of training.
