mirador (CD) John Bull & Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and a reverb chambermirador (from the Latin mirari, to marvel) is a musical and poetic work that turns a suburban childhood into an epic landscape of imagination. Drawing on memories of growing up queer with Tourettes, the narrator recounts retreating to a basement filled with modest objects: an organ, VHS tapes, encyclopedias, that became portals to vast cultural and geographic worlds.
