Benjamin Leroux, Savigny Beaune Rouge Vintage:2015

Description
Benjamin Leroux, Savigny Beaune Rouge Vintage:2015(mostly from Les Fourneaux with declassified 1er Hauts Jarrons as well). There is enough reduction to suppress the underlying fruit though there is very good density to the subtle mineral inflected flavors that deliver excellent length for a villages level wine on the balanced if mildly rustic finish. Very good quality here and the influence of the 1er is evident. Note that I would suggest decanting this if youre going to open a bottle young. 89 2022+
Between the reduction and the gas this firmly structured effort is very hard to read and while it may come together that is not a certainty
This is already approachable though should benefit from 4 to 5 years of cellar time
2% Petit Verdot
velvety and caressing medium weight flavors are almost easy-going and delicate on the delicious and lightly structured finale
Shows impressive delineation and finishes very long and minerally
but in this vintage the tannins are nearly buried by the huge fruit
pure and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that also brim with palate coating dry extract
some differentiations of this wine’s confectionary essence – emerge
the 2010 The Pinnacle Shiraz has aromas of creme de cassis
plum and eucalyptus flavors
but dont miss a chance to grab some if you can
Dark and deep
