Ballantine’s Finest Sweden and 15–15Distillery Background and History Ballantines is a well established Scottish blended whisky brand operated by Chivas Brothers (a Pernod Ricard subsidiary). The brand dates back to 1827, when George Ballantine started a wine andspirits shop in Edinburgh and later expanded into blending. Over time, Ballantines acquired or partnered with distilleries like Miltonduff and Glenburgie to supply fingerprint malts that give the blend continuity and character.
